4/20/2015 - Natural History Book Group / Beaverton (private)
Jay Watson, a good friend of mine from the Fans of Fanno Creek days, has invited me to speak to his book club tonight. The location is his home, which is near Hiteon Creek, one of Summer Creek's many small and degraded tributaries. We'll be discussing my book, of course, but if there's a chance to turn the conversation towards the proposed development of a high school on South Cooper Mountain (just a stone's throw away from where we will be meeting, I'll try to alert them to the pending loss of a small but important wetland in that area.
