February, 2014 - Muliple Events
This month I'm presenting a brief review of the book and/or the history of Fanno Creek to The Daughters of the American Revolution (Champoeg chapter) and The Multanomah Atheletic Club (MAC). These are special presentations and not open to the public. The MAC presentation will be followed a week later by a "crawl" through a couple select areas of the Fanno Creek watershed.
5/15/2013 - Washington County Historical Society
I'll be delivering a presentation on Up Fanno Creek at the Washington County Museum on Wednesday the 15th. The talk runs from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

4/13/2013 - Green Heron Gala with the Tualatin Riverkeepers

Join us Saturday the 6th for a Fanno Creek walk pulled from the pages of TRK's nature guidebook. We'll be meeting at the Tigard Library, 10 AM. Kids and well-mannered, peace loving dogs welcome! More information available here.

I'll be co:facilitating a lunch time discussion group with Amy Chomowitz. We'll be discussing the relationship between "green infrastructure and the management of urban watersheds." I'll be manning the note paper while Amy pulls lead duties. Ought to be a rewarding and fun experience. Additionally, a copy of Up Fanno Creek will be one of the featured door-prizes!

TRK is one of the most important wetlands advocacy groups in the watershed. 11/14/2012 - Urban Weed Control Workshop

The class will focus on control methods including cultural, mechanical, chemical, and biological control methods to target the least favorite plants invading your urban homestead. This event will feature Dominic Maze, Invasive Species Coordinator from the City of Portland, and Samuel Leininger, WeedWise Program Manager for Clackamas SWCD.
They will discuss how to identify, eradicate and prevent your common garden weeds.
