TRK's Brian Wegener led a good sized group on a tour of the Fanno Creek wetlands near Tigard Library. This was a chance for folks to learn more about an area that is currently (17 October 2010) the site proposed for a new bridge over Fanno Creek. The project is being opposed by a collaboration of citizens and watershed professionals concerned with the lifting of Goal FIve protections for sensitive lands that are already badly degraded.
